*Our collectors will collect only medical authorized plastic bags, any bin or box remains your property, kept at your premises and won't be collected.
**Bags are provided upon subscription and will be replaced during the collection time (up to 1 big bag or 2 small bags per collection). Size of the bags are available in the specification of the products & services.
***Possibility to upgrade your subscription during the year to be able to increase the number of monthly collections and KG of medical waste to be treated. Click on contact us to raise your demand.
All additional purchases can be done online.
The payment is online: you will immediately receive a confirmation order follows by an invoice and a contract signed along with terms & conditions by VMER which is the approved collector.
Don't forget to spell correctly your company name and to mention your commercial license number!

Specifications of the bags:
At the time of the collection, you will be able to receive new bags according to the package of your subscription.
Within this "Medical Waste Service - Subscription with 8 collections / month", you will have the choice to request to your collector either 1 large bag 100 L (70 x 100 cm) or 2 small bags 50 L (50 x 60 cm) for each collection.

The service includes 8 collections per month
The service includes also 25 KG per month of medical waste treated
The collection is done by Veolia Middle East Recycling LLC
If you provide to our collectors more than 75 KG during the quarter, we will charge you the extra KG collected and treated according to the rate specificed in our terms & conditions. We will also advise you to upgrade your subscription in order to access to more services with better pricing.
On the other hand, if during a month you supply less than 25 KG within a quarter the balance will be carried the month after. But the total collected is calculated at the end of each quarter.
What to include in your medical waste bag?
Medical Waste: (definition as per Federal law no. 24)
Any waste made in whole or part of human tissue, animal tissue, blood or other body liquids, secretions, drugs or other pharmaceutical products, bandages, syringes, needles or other medical sharp objects, or any other waste whether contagious chemical or radioactive produced by medical activities, nursing, treatment, medical care, dental, veterinary or pharmaceutical or processed activities or others, tests, research works or study materials or sampling or storage of the same.
Some actual examples of medical waste items generated by these types of facilities can include:

Anything that is soaked in blood (gloves, gauze, gowns, etc.)

Human or animal tissues created during procedures

Cultures of infectious diseases/agents

Any waste produced in patient’s rooms with communicable diseases

Discarded vaccines
Medical waste often contains bodily fluids like blood or other contaminants. Medical Waste is defined as “waste generated during medical research, testing, diagnosis, immunization, or treatment of either human beings or animals”. Some examples are culture dishes, glassware, bandages, gloves, discarded sharps like needles or scalpels, swabs, and tissue.
No sharp objects can be directlty disposed in the medical waste bags. A dedicated sharp box is available for that purpose. Fill your sharp boxes and then closed them properly before paking them in your yellow bags.
How Medical Waste are treated?
Off-Site Medical Waste Treatment
Off-site medical waste treatment is a far more cost-effective option for most small and mid-sized medical practices and facilities. Third-party vendors whose main business is healthcare waste collection and disposal have the equipment and training needed to handle the process. Vendors can collect the waste by Dubai Municipality approved vehicles and transfer the waste to a DM-approved treatment facility.
No matter where medical waste is processed, it’s ultimately treated by incineration, as per the local regulations in Dubai.
In the UAE, Veolia is committed to with over 90% of all infectious medical waste which are disposed of by incineration.
